However, after spending 3 wonderful days in Jersey, I can now vouch for its epic food scene! With some of the best seafood in the vicinity of the UK, stunning restaurants with breathtaking outdoor terraces and magnificent views, plus so many incredible varieties of wine to choose from throughout the island, Jersey is a foodie’s paradise!
In my ultimate guide to the best restaurants in Jersey Channel Islands below, I’m sharing my top list of places to eat on this beautiful island!

1. Oyster Box – best restaurants in Jersey Channel Islands

Oyster Box was the first place we ate at when we arrived in Jersey and it was such a fantastic restaurant to begin our culinary exploration of the Channel Island!
Located in St Brelade’s Bay, Oyster Box is a restaurant that looks like it should belong on a Mediterranean island! The outdoor seating area rivals those found in fancy 5* resorts in Santorini or Ibiza, especially with the gorgeous bay and beach as its backdrop.
Inside, the seaside theme continues and you’ll find plush tables adorned with fine glassware, all while boasting views out to sea.

The food at Oyster Box is also exceptional; I opted for the pot roast chicken with creamy mash, grilled baby leaks and sage and onion gravy.
While the portion size didn’t look huge at first, it was actually more than enough, especially after a starter of assorted bread. If you’re looking for one of the best places to eat in Jersey Channel Islands, look no further than Oyster Box!
2. The Bass & Lobster – best restaurant in Gorey, Jerseyh

The Bass & Lobster was arguably my favourite dining experience during our time in Jersey as everything from the staff to the food to the restaurant itself was exceptional.
Situated not too far from Gorey Pier and Mont Orgueil Castle, the Bass & Lobster is one of the most highly rated restaurants in Jersey Channel Island and for good reason! The food here is truly exquisite and every single person on our press trip couldn’t rave about it enough!

From seafood classics such as fish and chips (spoiler alert: it was the best fish and chips of my life!) to pan-fried seabream and an extravagant dish consisting of Jersey sea bass and lobster tempura, each and every dish is well thought out and beautifully constructed.
The menu ice cream instantly caught our eye when we first arrived at the restaurant and with weird, wild and wonderful flavours such as stilton, red Thai curry and wild fennel on the menu, it would have been rude not to sample a few!

As I mentioned above, the fish and chips that I ate at The Bass & Lobster were the best I’ve ever had and thanks to the delectable beer-battered fish, truffle and parmesan chips and homemade curry sauce, this was also one of my favourite places to eat in Jersey.
I would never have thought to put truffle and parmesan fries with fish, but it worked so well and made for a truly scrumptious meal!
I also tried the dulce de leche ice cream which was yummy but lacked a little flavour. One variety of ice cream that didn’t lack in flavour, however, was the scoop of wild garlic! I’m renowned for being someone who is utterly obsessed with everything garlic, but even this was a little too strong for me; I’m still obsessed with garlic but I think I’ll leave it out of my ice cream choices in future!
Bonus: If you’re looking for another epic place to enjoy fresh seafood in Gorey, head to Jersey Crab Shack to enjoy local produce and stunning views overlooking Mont Orgueil Castle!
3. El Tico – best restaurants in Jersey Channel Islands

We ate at El Tico Beach Cantina next to St Ouens Beach for our last meal in Jersey before we flew back to the UK and we couldn’t have picked a better restaurant to enjoy our final lunch as it’s such a stunning place to eat!
With gorgeous interiors and views out to the beach, plus an incredibly vast and extensive menu, El Tico definitely needs to be on your list of places to eat in Jersey!
I opted for the classic Italian beef ragu and the portion size was absolutely huge; I struggled to finish the whole thing, but it was super yummy and definitely a very filling option before our flight home.
In a place as expensive as Jersey, El Tico is also one of the more budget-friendly places to eat, so I really couldn’t recommend it enough!
4. The Hungry Man – cheap places to eat in Jersey

Located in Rozel Bay, The Hungry Man is often cited as one of the best places to eat in Jersey, Channel Islands and when we stopped there for lunch one afternoon and tucked into some hearty grub, it was clear to see why it’s always so highly recommended!
The location right next to the bay is absolutely gorgeous and while the menu isn’t too extensive (consisting largely of burgers, crab sandwiches and fries), the food that you do get is truly delicious. I went for the bacon and cheese beef burger which was so scrumptious and so filling! The side of fries we ordered to share was also huge and so yummy!
If you’re looking for a great place to eat in Jersey with lovely views, look no further than The Hungry Man!
5. La Mare Wine Estate

I could quite happily sit and talk/write about our time at La Mare Wine Estate in Jersey all day as it was one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences we had during our time in the Channel Islands, but for now, I’ll just have a little rave about the food and drink there!
While La Mare is first and foremost a winery/vineyard, it also boasts its very own cafe, with both indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the astonishing vineyard.
There are numerous menus to choose from at the La Mare cafe, including a fantastic breakfast offering and an exquisite afternoon tea selection. As we visited La Mare Wine Estate for a vineyard tour just after midday, we enjoyed the delights of their lunchtime menu.
There’s so much to choose from, including various platters and cheeseboards, sandwiches, burgers, loaded nachos and multiple seafood dishes. I opted for the pork gyros wrap which consisted of a substantial helping of juicy pork, crunchy vegetables, garlic yoghurt and chips. I’m a huge fan of Greek food, especially gyros, so this was the perfect dish for me and it certainly didn’t disappoint!
6. La Bastille – best restaurants in Jersey St Helier

La Bastille was a restaurant in Jersey that I was really looking forward to visiting as it was the only place where we pre-booked our meals, so I knew it was going to be a busy affair and one worth visiting!
It’s one of the best restaurants in St Helier Jersey for a fine dining experience, located right in the heart of the town, so it’s the perfect restaurant to add to your list if you’re staying in St Helier.
There are some truly excellent dishes on the menu at La Bastille, including plenty of steak and seafood dishes, so you’re in for a real treat!

We were very kindly treated to a 3-course meal at La Bastille and I went for the spicy pork bon bons to start, the Sheelin country beef for my main and the vanilla crème brûlée for my dessert.
The spicy pork bon bons starter was absolutely phenomenal; I’d love to try and recreate these at home as I could eat them every single week! Unfortunately, my steak was very fatty (and I don’t usually mind fat on meat at all!), but a few other people on the trip also ordered steak and theirs was cooked beautifully, so I think I just had a bad piece of beef!
The vanilla crème brûlée for dessert more than made up for my slightly disappointing steak, however, and even though I don’t usually go for dessert, this was positively delicious!
7. The Porter’s Store – best cocktail bar in Jersey

If you’re looking for arguably the best cocktail bar in Jersey, you need to add The Porter’s Store to your list!
Created with a speakeasy vibe, The Porter’s Store in St Helier is just a stone’s throw from the Jersey Museum and not too far from La Bastille, so it’s a great place to enjoy after-dinner drinks.
The cocktail menu is super fancy, with plenty of gin and vodka-based creations. Some of the cocktails are also incredibly lavish and extravagant with fire and alcohol bubbles placed on top; it’s a drinking experience like no other!
It’s not a cheap place to drink in Jersey, with cocktails costing between £13 and £15, but it is worth a visit for the boujee vibes and intriguing cocktails!
8. Botana

We stumbled across Botana after our visit to the Jersey Museum and its prime location next to Liberation Square in St Helier makes it a brilliant place to eat and drink, especially if you can grab a table outside in the summer months!
Boasting a fantastic tapas selection and a huge variety of wines, Botana is a great place to grab a bite to eat or just enjoy a refreshing glass of wine in the sunshine in Jersey.
9. The Royal Yacht – best restaurants in Jersey Channel Islands

The Royal Yacht is one of the most famous places in Jersey thanks to it being a hotel and spa, as well as boasting four restaurants and three bars!
Situated in a prime real estate location in Weighbridge Place, close to Liberation Square and the marina, The Royal Yacht is one of the top places to sleep, eat and drink in Jersey!
10. Bohemia – Michelin Star restaurants in Jersey

Despite spending 3 nights at The Club Hotel & Spa in Jersey, we (unfortunately) didn’t get to try out the hotel’s very own Michelin Star restaurant, Bohemia.
Bohemia is located on the ground floor of The Club Hotel & Spa and its food has been dubbed as “one of the gastronomic experiences of your life”, as well as ranking in the Sunday Times Top 10 Restaurants and being listed as one of the top 1000 restaurants in the world, so it’s clear to see that it’s worth adding to your list of the best restaurants in Jersey, Channel Islands!
You’ll find a range of different menus to choose from at Bohemia, including a tasting menu, a set lunch menu, a 4-course dinner menu, an afternoon tea menu and even a surprise menu!
As you can see, there are no shortage of incredible places to eat in Jersey and if you’re heading to the Channel Islands soon, I hope you’ve found some inspiration on this ultimate list of the best restaurants in Jersey!
