As someone who has spent the last 7+ years travelling to over 50 countries with my husband, I never thought I would get super excited about decorating the place I called “home”. However, now that we’re based in a gorgeous apartment in Manchester city centre, I found myself actually looking forward to the whole decorating process for the first time in my life.
Which leads me nicely into today’s post all about the wonderful wall art we recently received from Desenio. I actually first purchased some travel prints from Desenio back in 2020 when Matt and I were on our first hiatus from travelling after an 11-month stint in New Zealand, Australia, and Southeast Asia, so I was incredibly excited to work with them this time around to kit out our new apartment in Manchester, all these years later.
In my Desenio review below, I’ve shared my honest thoughts about the prints, posters, and canvases available at Desenio, as well as some inspiration for you to create your very own gallery wall at home!
Desenio review
To kick off my Desenio review, I wanted to share my real and honest thoughts about the company, the prints, and the overall customer experience of shopping online at Desenio.
Desenio is a Swedish company specialising in beautiful, affordable, and stylish Scandinavian wall art with thousands of prints, posters, canvases, and frames available in various styles and sizes. They also offer unique styling tools so you can visualise how the prints and posters will look in a gallery wall formation, and they also offer brand-new prints every single month!
Overall, I was super happy with the whole ordering process from the Desenio website; it’s super fast, easy to use, and I love how you can search for certain themes or designs, as well as shop their very own collections. The hardest part was simply narrowing our print choices down as we had over 50 prints in our basket at one point!
It took exactly one week (5 business days) for our prints to be delivered, which we were pretty happy with as Desenio aims to pack orders and send them out for delivery from their warehouse in Czechia within 3-6 business days, so our order was very much in that time frame.
Are Desenio prints good quality?
Now, you may be impressed with the overall usage of the website and the delivery times from Desenio, but what about the actual quality of the prints themselves?
We ordered 29 prints (and one canvas) from Desenio and I can honestly say that we are thoroughly impressed by the quality of the prints themselves, as well as the paper that they’re printed on. Every single poster we ordered is vibrant in colour and clearly printed to the highest quality; we truly couldn’t be happier with our collection!
Living room gallery wall inspiration

As I mentioned above, we chose 29 Desenio art prints in total, with the intention of creating a few different gallery walls throughout our apartment, mainly in the living room, kitchen, and hallway.
Our first priority when choosing Desenio wall art was to pick out prints for our main living room wall as that was the largest white space in our apartment that we wanted to add some life and colour to.
We had a general idea in mind of the prints we wanted to use in our living room gallery wall, but it wasn’t until all the prints arrived that we made our final decision on what should go where.

As you can see from the pictures above, we played around with quite a few different layouts (there were also many more variations that we tried that are not pictured!). We really wanted the living room wall to “pop” and reflect our love for travel and food, and as you can see from the prints we chose, we did exactly that!
We also picked out a few fun art prints from Desenio, such as the ramen-eating cat and the “Dogue” print, as we thought these were super fun and unique and added a bit more personality into our living room gallery wall!
Hallway gallery wall

Next up, we put together a smaller gallery wall of cool poster art in our hallway. We’d already added a huge mirror to one wall in our hallway, but to make it look even bigger and brighter, we decided to put some prints on the opposite wall so that the mirror would reflect everything and make the space appear bigger.
Again, we stuck to a similar theme of travel, with my favourite print on this gallery wall being the Wanaka Tree print as I used to live in New Zealand as a teenager, and Matt and I spent 3 months in NZ in 2019 at the start of our full-time travels, and we also got married in Queenstown in February 2026, so it’s a truly special place for us.

We also added two more prints to either side of the mirror to fill up some of the empty space and I think the symmetry of the prints we chose looks so cool!
I also love the contrast of bright pops of colour alongside the black and white poster prints on this gallery wall!
Kitchen gallery wall

The final area of our apartment that we decided to tackle was the kitchen/dining/minibar area as we wanted to take advantage of having actual white space in the kitchen and making it look and feel a lot more homely.
We chose three prints from Desenio artist Darina and her “We Made Something Nice” collection, opting for the gyoza, ramen, and spaghetti prints on one kitchen wall.

We also have a bookshelf/minibar in the kitchen/dining area, so we chose a few cocktail-related prints to reflect the theme of the space, which we’re super happy with!
I’m sure you’re all wondering which print is my favourite, and I’m sure you can guess that the answer is I really don’t know as I genuinely love them all and I think each gallery wall in our home is unique and fun and homely!
