I wrote my first-ever blog post on this website on the 19th October 2016, which means, at the time of writing this post, I have officially been blogging for over nine years! I then quit my corporate job in digital marketing in December 2018 to become a freelance writer and travel blogger, and have been blogging full-time ever since January 2019.
However, I didn’t start making any “real” money from blogging until the last few years, when I was finally able to let go of my freelance clients, and rely solely on the income from my blog.
I think it goes without saying that this wasn’t a straightforward career path, and despite what you might see online, the money didn’t just instantly flow into my bank account, simply because I was working hard every single day.
In the last couple of years, however, I have found several income strategies (most of which are now completely passive) that allow me to earn thousands of pounds from my travel blog every single month! I could quite easily spend hours talking about all these different types of income, but today I want to focus on one particularly life-changing method that I would seriously urge every travel blogger to consider!

What is Stay22 and how does it work?
Stay22 is an easy-to-use content monetisation platform that helps you gain better conversions from your affiliate links, thus helping you to earn more money without more work. One of the ways Stay22 works is by converting any accommodation link on your website (including platforms such as Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia, Hotels.com, and more) into an affiliate link, so that you earn affiliate income directly through the Stay22 platform.
At its core, Stay22’s AI-powered technology works automatically and intelligently without disrupting the user experience.
One great thing about Stay22 is that you don’t even need to be a part of the individual affiliate platforms they work with as Stay22 easily integrates all the affiliate links in one place.
There are multiple scripts and systems in place that allow Stay22 to work successfully on your website, which in turn allows you to earn more money. I’ve included them all below, but I am by no means a tech whizz, so I’ve tried to explain them all in their most simple terms!

Stay22 script integration – Let Me Allez (LMA)
Let Me Allez (LMA) is the original Stay22 script integration that automatically turns the existing affiliate links on your website into optimised, high-converting links. The script also uses AI to incorporate Nova and Spark which deliver targeted suggestions to suit the reader on your site at any given time.
Nova
Nova identifies the intent of the reader on your website by analysing user behaviour in real time (without using cookies) and delivers an “offer” in a new tab (such as an excellent hotel deal) at the perfect moment to increase revenue.
Spark
Spark is another incredible product by Stay22 and it works by scanning your content, identifying any missed affiliate link opportunities, and then adding relevant affiliate links to your content, without changing the wording or overcrowding the page at all!
Allez: Affiliate Link Generator
The Allez Link Generator is one of my absolute favourite tools in the Stay22 dashboard as it allows you to create custom, bespoke affiliate links for partners such as Booking.com, GetYourGuide, Expedia, and more, and you can add a customisable tracking link so that you can easily target specific campaigns and track which posts/links perform best for you.
Interactive Hotel Map Widget
Stay22’s Interactive Map shows live accommodation options based on location. The Stay22 MAP helps you earn affiliate revenue, while giving your blog visitors tailored offers around destinations or events they’re reading about.
Roam
Roam is Stay22’s super-smart AI and machine learning engine that is behind every single Stay22 product.
For example, it analyses the behaviour of visitors to your website to determine what type of landing page will convert best for that particular reader, including a dedicated hotel landing page or a search results page with multiple hotel options that are best suited to their preferences.
If all the above has confused you, fear not, as to be perfectly candid, I’m still not 100% sure of all the ins and outs and the exact technical side behind the whole operation myself! All I know is that I’ve seen amazing results from implementing Stay22 on my website for the last 18+ months, and I think my stats below are perfect evidence of this…
My Stay22 stats and data so far (as of December 2025)
- My first introduction to the Stay22 team was at the end of 2023, but I didn’t join the platform until May 2024.
- My first-ever payout with Stay22 was just $144.74 for 8 bookings, and now (as of November 2025), I’m making more than $2,000 a month, with 50-60+ bookings a month!
- At the time of writing this guide, I’ve made more than $14,000 from Stay22, with my earnings/bookings growing every single month.
As I mentioned above, I first heard about Stay22 towards the end of 2023, both on social media from other bloggers, as well as receiving numerous emails from the team at Stay22 themselves telling me how I could be earning extra money from my blog.
While I am all for earning more money as a blogger, I was super sceptical at first, as they just seemed to come out of nowhere, with people claiming they were making “life-changing” money using the Stay22 platform.
However, after over 18 months on the platform, I am delighted to say that joining Stay22 was one of the best business decisions I’ve ever made, and I can’t wait to see my earnings grow exponentially over the coming years!
Pros and cons of Stay22
Pros – Stay22 review
- It’s super easy to set up and use; the team will even do pretty much everything for you, so you don’t have to be tech-savvy to get it to work!
- It’s also possible to completely customise how you earn with Stay22. For example, if you already have a direct affiliate partnership with GetYourGuide, you can easily exclude it from Stay22.
- It’s allowed me to drastically increase my income from blogging, particularly passive income, which I absolutely love!
- It’s so easy to create your own links using the “Allez Generator” feature on your Stay22 dashboard.
- I love how many partners are now available with Stay22; including Booking.com, GetYourGuide, Agoda, Hotels.com, Expedia, Kayak, TripAdvisor, and more. They are also expanding into retail, so soon Stay22 will be an incredible money-earner for all kinds of bloggers, not just travel creators!
- The “Page Analytics” feature is super helpful for seeing which blog posts convert the most bookings, so you can see which posts to target for future affiliate marketing.
- The Stay22 team are SO friendly and helpful, and are so quick to reply to any emails or questions I have.
- The Stay22 script integration (Let Me Allez) includes the Nova, LinkSwap, and Spark tools of the Stay22 platform, meaning that you have a much better chance of increasing bookings, and therefore, your income.
- I love that the income generated via Stay22 is almost completely passive. Of course, you have to do the initial hard work involving writing, editing, taking pictures, scheduling, updating, and maintaining the posts on your website, but once that’s done, Stay22 works behind the scenes to ensure that any blog post that can earn money is fully optimised to do so.
Cons – Stay22 review
- While I get a lot more bookings through Stay22 than I ever did using individual hotel affiliate platforms, unfortunately, I do also see a lot of cancellations for bookings, as well. I have also noticed that people seem to book multiple hotels at once for the same dates, but then naturally go on to cancel all but one! I once “made” over $1,000 in one day, until I realised that it was just one person who had booked 10 (!!!) different hotels for the same dates, and then later went on to cancel all but one hotel. This isn’t really Stay22’s fault in any way, but it can be frustrating to think that you’ll earn all that money, only for it to be taken away at a later date.
Stay22 review – is Stay22 worth it?
Stay22 is 1000% worth joining in my opinion! I went from making less than £10,000 a year blogging, to over £25,000 a year in just two years, largely thanks to Stay22, along with other passive income strategies, such as Mediavine, my NYC ebooks, the Go City New York Pass, and more!
To say that joining Stay22 was life changing would be a very honest and accurate representation of my feelings towards this incredible platform, and if you’re looking for more ways to earn money as a blogger, I couldn’t recommend joining Stay22 enough!
