I’ve been lucky enough to stay in my fair share of incredible hotels over the years, but nothing compares to my stay at Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort on the stunning island of Phu Quoc in Vietnam.
We were very kindly invited for a two-night stay at Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort at the end of October 2023 and while I could tell that it was going to be a truly spectacular hotel from the pictures I had seen online, nothing could prepare me for how much I fell in love with this magical place.
If you’re heading to Vietnam and looking to spend a few days on Phu Quoc Island, I truly cannot recommend Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort enough. It’s by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in (and I’ve stayed in over 300 in the last five years alone!) and today’s post is all about my review of the Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort to hopefully inspire you to book a stay at one of the island’s best and most prestigious hotel resorts!

Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort review

Pullman Beach Resort is a part of the Accor hospitality franchise and is actually Pullman’s flagship hotel in Vietnam. Set across seven hectares, the resort is located on Bai Truong (Long Beach), with over 15km of incredible coastline and its very own private beach!
The resort only opened in 2020, but it’s already become one of the most prestigious hotels and resorts on the island thanks to its spectacular beauty and unparalleled amenities.
I will probably mention this quite a few times throughout this post, but Pullman Beach Resort on Phu Quoc Island truly is one of the most breathtaking properties I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting and I can’t wait to share every single detail of our stay in this huge review!
Rooms & Suites at Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort

We were very kindly provided with a Superior King Room with an ocean/garden view at Pullman Phu Quoc, complete with its very own balcony, a giant free-standing bathtub, an enormous comfy bed, separate shower and toilet, two sinks, a sofa, a chair and, of course, a remarkable view of the property!
Upon checking into our room, we also saw that the wonderful staff had decorated the bed with a picture of us, surrounded by beautiful flower petals! It’s the first time I’d ever experienced a hotel welcome like this and now I’m afraid it’s ruined me for all future hotel stays!
The king-sized bed was tremendously comfortable; if there weren’t so many awesome things to explore around the resort, I could have quite happily laid in bed all day and soaked up the loveliness of the room!

The bathtub in the centre of the bathroom seemed a little odd to us at first, but it was actually a very cool and quirky feature and while it doesn’t lend itself to too much privacy, it was a gorgeous place to relax after a busy first day travelling from HCMC to Phu Quoc!
I also really appreciated the separate shower and toilet which were located just behind the bathtub, as well as the two individual sinks; this is definitely something that we have listed on our future dream home wishlist!

Our incredible room also had both an ocean view and garden view from the 7th floor which was an absolute joy to behold, especially at sunset!
You can see all the way across the resort, including the giant infinity swimming pool, out to the ocean and to the sunset on the horizon. This view was an absolute dream to wake up to each morning, but it was arguably even more incredible at sunset.
In addition to the beautiful Superior King Room that we stayed in at Pullman Phu Quoc, the hotel also boasts 331 other rooms, suites and villas, including twin rooms, ocean view suites, family rooms, beachfront pool villas and more! You can check out the full list of room options at Pullman Beach Resort on their website.
Activities and facilities at Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort

There are so many wonderful amenities, attractions and activities to enjoy at Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort.
Even though we only spent 48 hours there, we managed to make the most of the many wonderful facilities that the hotel and resort has to offer! Here’s what you can expect to get up to when you stay at Pullman Beach Resort!
The swimming pool

When you first begin to explore the resort, one of the first things that you’ll notice is the remarkable swimming pool located in the very heart of the resort.
Surrounded by dozens of bright-yellow sunbeds, and centred around one of the resort’s many dining facilities (Coconutz Bar), the swimming pool at Pullman Phu Quoc is truly out of this world. While it definitely looks sizeable as you’re walking around or viewing it from above from your room’s balcony, it’s hard to comprehend the sheer size of the pool until you’re actually swimming in it!
I really loved the many different parts of the pool area, including the bridge that leads onto the “island” to Coconutz Bar, as well as the jacuzzi and the infinity pool section at the very top of the pool.
It really is one of the best hotel swimming pools I’ve ever experienced and it’s perfect for travellers visiting solo, as a couple, with friends or as a family.
Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort private beach

The 150m stretch of a private section of Long Beach (Bai Truong) is undoubtedly one of the best things about staying at Pullman Phu Quoc. I’ve been lucky enough to visit many beaches over the years, but this has to be up there with one of the very best and most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen!
The palm tree-lined white sand, the incredibly warm ocean and the breathtaking view of sunset makes this an absolute paradisal spot that you can enjoy as a guest at Pullman Beach Resort!
Kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding

You can also take advantage of the free kayak and stand-up paddle board hire that the resort offers right on the beach itself!
I had never attempted stand-up paddle boarding before, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I wasn’t bad at all; I didn’t fall in once!
We spent an hour or two swapping between relaxing on the sun loungers on the beach and playing in the sea with the SUP and it truly made for the dreamiest afternoon.
The hiring of the kayaks and SUP are operated on a first-come, first-served basis, so if someone else is using them, you can just relax on the beach until it’s your turn!
Gym and spa

I’m not really one to use a hotel gym as I usually prefer to check out the property’s food and drink scene, but we did manage to get a sneak peak of the gym at Pullman Phu Quoc and it really is one of the nicest hotel gyms I’ve ever seen!
From the first floor window, you have an incredible view of the resort as you’re working out and the machines and equipment were some of the most extensive I’ve ever seen.
As well as the state-of-the-art gym, Pullman Beach Resort also boasts its very own spa, complete with treatments such as hot stone massages, facials, body scrubs and more. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to indulge in a spa treatment during our stay, but we did have a look around at the spa facilities and they looked absolutely sensational!
You can check out the full spa treatment menu here.
Kid’s playground and Splash Water Zone

While Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort is arguably more catered to travellers looking to experience a luxury honeymoon or a romantic weekend away as a couple, there are still plenty of awesome activities for kids and teenagers, making it a very family-friendly resort as well!
Next to the swimming pool area, there is also the Splash Water Zone that’s a fantastic little area for younger children who want to frolic in the water without spending too much time in the pool.
There is also an on-site kids’ club and a small play area just next to the hotel which is perfect for kids/younger teens looking to spend some time away from their parents!
Weddings at Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort

On the first night of our stay at Pullman Phu Quoc, we accidentally stumbled across a beautiful sunset wedding right on the beach which looked like something straight from a movie; it was truly the most astonishing backdrop for a wedding!
If you’re thinking of getting married and want to do it in style, Pullman Hotel Phu Quoc offer bespoke wedding packages that cater to your every need.

Dining at Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort

There are six incredible drinking and dining facilities at Pullman Phu Quoc, including several bars, mouth-watering restaurants and beautiful indoor and outdoor dining options.
Below, you can find all the best places to eat and drink at Pullman Beach Resort Phu Quoc!
Salt ‘n’ Pepper Restaurant

Salt ‘n’ Pepper Restaurant is the place where you’ll find all-day dining at Pullman Phu Quoc. From a remarkable breakfast buffet in the morning to an excellent all-day menu served in the restaurant itself to a fantastic room service and late-night menu, Salt ‘n’ Pepper is one of the best places to eat and drink at Pullman Beach Resort.
Breakfast

The international breakfast buffet at the Salt ‘n’ Pepper Restaurant was undoubtedly the best hotel breakfast buffet I’ve ever seen!
There was so much food to choose from, you could have been there all day and not even scratched the surface of what was on offer! From a quintessential Vietnamese breakfast to a choice of American, English, French, Japanese and Korean choices to a phenomenal fruit and pastries section and even an ice cream station, the breakfast at Salt ‘n’ Pepper was truly out of this world!
Make sure you head down for breakfast with a hearty appetite; you’re going to need it!
Room service/restaurant menu

On our first night at Pullman Phu Quoc, we decided to take advantage of the incredible facilities inside our luxurious Superior King Room, so we ordered room service from the Salt ‘n’ Pepper Restaurant menu.
We opted for the “Twice as Divine” Wagyu beef burger with bacon, lettuce, cheese, onion and thousand island sauce, as well as a margherita pizza and a portion of fries to share. It was the perfect carb-overload meal to kick off our stay at the resort and everything from the food to the room service staff to the ability to eat in our fancy hotel room made for the most wonderful evening!
Mad Cow Wine & Grill

Mad Cow Wine & Grill is the signature steakhouse on Phu Quoc Island that can be found on the top floor of the Pullman Beach Resort Hotel. After the success of the restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City, Mad Cow descended upon Pullman Phu Quoc and offers one of the best dining experiences on the island!
We treated ourselves to a decadent steak meal on our second night at Pullman Beach Resort and it was one of the loveliest dining experiences we’ve enjoyed!
I had the steak sandwich with fries and Matt went for the 300g Picanha steak with a side of spicy smoked paprika and orange cheddar Mac ‘n’ Cheese which was undoubtedly one of the best side dishes I’ve ever had!
We also shared a bottle of sparkling wine which was absolutely delicious and our entire dining experience was just phenomenal. Our waitress, Diep, made our time at Mad Cow Phu Quoc even more enjoyable as she was so friendly and attentive.
I really couldn’t recommend visiting Mad Cow Wine & Grill enough if you’re staying at Pullman Beach Resort and even if you’re not, you should still head there for a meal while staying on Phu Quoc Island!
Coconutz Bar

Coconutz Bar is located on a little “island” in the middle of the resort’s substantial swimming pool and it’s such a fun place to grab a refreshing drink as you enjoy the pool.
There are several seating options located around the bar, as well as numerous stools in the water itself so it acts as a swim-up bar which was very novel for me!

As part of our stay at Pullman Phu Quoc, we were very kindly treated to an afternoon tea experience at Coconutz Bar which was certainly one of the more unique afternoon teas I’ve ever had!
Instead of the traditional sandwiches and scones, we were treated to huge barbecued prawns, delicious fried chicken and mini Vietnamese bahn mi! Even though it was far from a quintessential British afternoon tea, it was still absolutely wonderful and every single bite of food was utterly delicious (even the prawns and I’m not a big fan of seafood at all!).
The caramel macarons were the nicest I’ve ever had and the blueberry mousse was also scrumptious. This afternoon tea experience only elevated our stay at Pullman Phu Quoc even further and I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to be staying at somewhere so remarkable!
Beach House Bar

If you prefer to enjoy your evening drinks with a beachfront view, you can head to the Beach House Bar at Pullman Phu Quoc which is situated just mere metres from the beach itself.
Here you can find a vast array of drinks including refreshing cocktails, fresh juices and smoothies, beer, wine, spirits and more. They also serve delicious bar snacks such as sweet potato fries, beef and chicken skewers, marinated pork ribs, Korean fried rice and so much more!
The Lighthouse Bar

The Lighthouse Bar is situated in the centre of the hotel’s lobby, taking pride of place as one of the best and most breathtaking areas of the resort.
Here you can enjoy innovative cocktails, signature smoothies and a vast array of other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
It’s a great meeting spot in the resort that welcome nomads, travellers and guests from all over the island and beyond.
Sea Stars Restaurant

If an al fresco traditional Vietnamese seafood grill is more up your street, then look no further than Sea Stars Restaurant, located just outside the hotel’s doors as you make you way into the resort’s remarkable grounds.
Here you’ll find fresh mixed salads, Vietnamese spring rolls and the opportunity to watch your chosen catch of the day being cooked right in front of your eyes in the open-air kitchen!
