While Bill’s restaurant isn’t a place that’s entirely exclusive to York, it is the only place that I’ve visited the restaurant and from my previous excursions here, I can safely say that it’s somewhere you simply have to visit.
The menu at Bill’s York is so vast and varied and there are so many choices for every kind of dietary requirement and preference. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat in York, check out my review of Bill’s Restaurant!

I always struggle with what to choose to eat when I’m at Bill’s – not because there isn’t enough choice but because there’s almost too much delicious food to choose from! I’ve had the fish finger sandwich a couple of times before which is so delicious but this time I opted for something different.

I decided to go for the buttermilk chicken burger that usually comes with sweet potato fries but I opted for regular fries instead. The chicken was cooked to perfection; it had just the right amount of crispiness on the outside while the actual chicken was tender and juicy.
The burger also had a festive twist on it as it was accompanied by apple slaw and chipotle mayo. I’m not always the biggest fan of green stuff on my burger but the crunchiness of the lettuce was the perfect accompaniment.
The skin-on fries were yummy and they were just the right amount of salty without being too overbearing and I could genuinely eat them every single day.

Matt also opted for a burger but he chose from the festive menu and went for the camembert and bacon beef burger which was a really good choice.
The bacon was cooked to perfection; it had just the right amount of crispiness but was in no way burnt. The beef burger itself was also cooked just right and even though Matt tends to prefer his burgers to be cooked rare, this medium offering was equally as delicious.
Yet another addition to this festive burger was a slice of camembert and although it’s not something that Matt would usually go for, he reassured me that it was divine.
Naturally, I had to check it out for myself and when I took a bite, I can safely say that it was absolutely heavenly. The camembert burger was also served with chips and they were just as good as mine!

For drinks, we both opted for my favourite: pink lemonade. I’ve truly never tasted something as delicious and as refreshing as the pink lemonade served at Bill’s restaurant in York and if you’ve never tried it then you absolutely must!
While I would say it’s probably a drink more suited to the summer months, I love it so much that I could honestly drink it every single day. It’s also served with fresh strawberries in the glass and my mouth is literally salivating just thinking about it!
I’m pretty sure you can actually buy bottles of this exact pink lemonade from Bill’s restaurants to take home with you, which I’d highly recommend as it would make the perfect mixer for cocktails at home!

Camembert in a burger sounds diviiiiiine! Gimmie some of that hehe! I was in York a few weeks ago and we went to a Nepalese restaurant (which I can’t for the life of me remember the name of!) and Ask Italian, both of which I really enjoyed! I definitely missed a trick by not visiting Bills though, I need to find one of their restaurants near me!!

Bill’s sounds a lot like Bob Evans restaurants we have around here. Oh that burger looks amazing and I bet it was delicious. Matt’s looks pretty good to tough. I love New York, I was there a couple years ago and fell in love.
