25hours Hotel Vienna In The MuseumsQuartier - Best Hotels In Vienna

After our incredible stay at the 25hours Hotel branch in Munich, I couldn’t wait to experience Vienna’s offering in the desirable Museum Quarter area of the city.

I mentioned in my Munich hotel review how much I adored the 25hours Hotel brand and how I was keen to experience as many of their franchises all over the world as possible and our time at the 25hours Hotel in Vienna was yet another exceptional stay that I cannot wait to share with you guys.

If you’re planning a trip to the remarkable city of Vienna and you’re looking for one of the best places to stay in the city, look no further than this absolute gem of a hotel! My review of 25hours Hotel Vienna in the MuseumsQuartier includes everything you need to know about the rooms, the staff, the food, the location and even the hotel’s very own rooftop bar and spa/wellness centre!

The rooms at 25hours Hotel Vienna

We were very kindly provided with a medium-sized room which is technically the smallest size they offer at the MuseumsQuartier hotel. It’s super spacious, with plenty of storage space, including a huge bench that’s ideal for placing your bags on or for sitting down and reading a book, plus there’s a sizeable desk and chair area and numerous shelves and hanging space in an open wardrobe.

My first impression of our room at 25hours Hotel Vienna was that it was much lighter, brighter and airier than its Munich counterpart, yet still equally as beautiful and charming.

The wall behind the generous-sized king bed is donned with eccentric artwork that gives the room a fun and playful vibe and despite overlooking the side street below, the noise was relatively undisturbing during our two-night stay.

The room is also equipped with a Bluetooth speaker and a free minibar which was fully stocked with treats such as beer, Fritz Kola, crisps and a chocolate bar.

The bathroom was also incredibly spacious, with a giant walk-in shower that was super hot and powerful and the toilet was half-separated by a partition wall next to the sink. Complete with a hairdryer, thick, fluffy towels and free-to-use shampoo, soap and shower gel, the bathrooms at 25hours Hotel Vienna make for a great space to freshen up after a busy day exploring the city.

As you can see from the picture on the left above, there’s a sizeable window opening that looks straight into the bedroom from the shower, but this can be covered up with a wooden shutter inside the bedroom area for extra privacy.

The floor in the bathroom is fitted with underfloor heating which was a little too hot for us during our stay in the middle of August, but I’m sure it’s an absolute delight for your feet if you stay during the bitterly cold winter months in Austria!

Dachboden 25 hours Hotel Vienna

The Dachboden at Twenty Five Hours Hotel Wien is a stylish and sophisticated bar, lounge and rooftop drinks area that offers an exquisite range of lavish cocktails, fancy Austrian wine and beer, plus an elegant array of spirits and mixers to create a heady beverage to accompany the dizzying heights of the rooftop terrace.

The cocktails aren’t the cheapest you’ll find in the city, with prices ranging from around €11 to €15, but you can grab a beer for as little as €3.90 and a glass of the yummiest Austrian wine for €4.90.

There’s no food on offer at the Dachboden bar apart from a few select bar snacks such as pretzels, olives and nuts, but the mesmerising views of the city from the outdoor rooftop terrace are sure to sate your appetite in a way that food cannot!

Opening hours:

Monday to Sunday: 3 PM – 1 AM

Ribelli

Restaurants and bars

Ribelli is the dining area of the hotel that plays host to the breakfast buffet in the morning, but from 3 PM it transforms into a delightful pizzeria and salumeria specialising in cold cuts, pizza, pasta and more. The gnocchi al pollo and nduja pizza particularly took my fancy and I only wished we could have stayed longer to experience as much of the menu as possible!

The dining area is truly breathtaking and it’s the perfect place to eat if you don’t want to venture too far out into the city. From exquisite light bites to a full-blown Italian feast, Ribelli should definitely be on your list of places to eat in Vienna while staying at the Twenty Five Hours Hotel.

Opening Hours:

Monday to Sunday: 12 PM – 12 AM (kitchen open until 10.30 PM)
3 PM to 6 PM: pizza and Salumeria specialities only.

Burger de Ville

Burger De Ville

Burger de Ville is an incredibly cool and quirky burger van situated inside an American Airstream that resides in the hotel’s neighbouring garden area.

In the summer, this idyllic spot in the sunshine is the perfect place to grab a bite before heading out to explore the city or indeed, once you’ve returned back from a busy day in Wien and you need a relaxing hour in the late summer sunshine to unwind.

With a menu consisting of timeless classics such as the iconic cheeseburger and pulled pork burger, plus an array of inventive creations such as their delectable Bourbon BBQ sandwich, Burger de Ville offers simple but delicious food in a gorgeous, ambient setting.

Monday to Sunday 12 PM – 8 PM

Breakfast at 25hours Hotel Vienna

Breakfast at 25hours Hotel Vienna

The breakfast buffet at 25hours Hotel Vienna was arguably even more enjoyable than the one we had at the Munich branch of Twenty Five Hours Hotel (and that one was truly amazing!).

With a vast and varied selection of meat and cheese, plus plenty of baked goods, pastries, bread products, cereal, fruit, porridge and more, not to mention the tremendous hot food on offer, the breakfast at the Vienna branch of 25hours Hotel is truly unrivalled.

There was even a bottomless prosecco station which might be a bit much for some people at 8 AM, but when in Rome …(or Vienna, in this case!).

Spa/wellness centre

Spa/wellness centre

We didn’t spend too much time in the spa and wellness centre at the hotel as we tried to prioritise exploring the city as much as possible with it being our first time in Vienna, but I’d definitely be keen to spend a lot more time in it during a future visit!

With suspended chairs swinging from the ceiling, a glorious outdoor terrace area that makes for an idyllic relaxation spot, plus a sauna and hammam suite, the spa at 25hours Hotel in Wien is truly magnificent.

As its name suggests, the Twenty Five Hours Hotel in Vienna is located in the city’s spectacular Museum Quarter, making it one of the very best places to stay as it’s so conveniently located.

The Hofburg is less than a 15-minute walk from the hotel, the Kunsthistorisches Museum is less than a 10-minute walk and the Vienna Operahouse is just 20 minutes from the hotel.

There’s a great public transport system in the city via the Vienna U-Bahn but we didn’t use it once, preferring instead to walk everywhere as it truly is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful cities I’ve ever visited.
