Back in September, Matt and I headed to the Balearic Island of Majorca (Mallorca) for our summer holiday. I did write all about everything that we got up to while we were there but it really was a trip that stuck out to me so I wanted to dedicate today’s post to all the things that you should do in Majorca.
I’ve been lucky enough to have had some incredible travel experiences this year but our trip to Mallorca definitely was a highlight for me this year.
Here are five reasons why you need to visit Mallorca for your next summer holiday!

1. The views – is Palma de Mallorca worth visiting?
The flight into Majorca is a truly breathtaking one – the views of the mountains, beaches and rocky mountains are truly a sight to behold. I took so many pictures during our holiday; so many in fact that I really struggled to pick just a few for this post.
The tranquil blue sea, the glorious sunshine and the rolling hills really are just one of the reasons that you need to visit Mallorca.

2. The food
One of the best parts of our holiday to Mallorca was definitely the food – we literally ate like Kings while we were there. There were so amazing little pizza places, some delightful spaghetti bolognese to be consumed and these absolutely immense burgers from an amazing restaurant called Arxi.
They were hands down the best burgers we’d ever eaten and honestly, I’d take a flight back there just to eat them again!

3. The beaches
The beaches are one of the things that Mallorca is most renowned for. The gorgeous sandy beaches, the picturesque waters and the blazing sun beating down on you are literally enough to make you want to stay there forever.
It was incredible to spend days lazing about in the sun doing very little while drinking cocktails. I’m already dreaming of going back…

4. The waterparks – is Palma de Mallorca worth visiting?
I didn’t actually manage to take any pictures while we were at the waterpark but I can definitely vouch for its awesomeness! We visited Aqualand which was definitely an amazing day out. The slides were out of this world and it was incredibly refreshing to spend the day in the waterpark while we were boiling hot.
We managed to bag tickets for just €36 each including fast passes which were amazing considering we literally spent the entire day there. I’d 100% recommend visiting a waterpark if you ever find yourself in Majorca because it really is an awesome way to spend the day.

5. The nightlife
As we stayed not too far away from Magaluf, we took the opportunity to spend a night partying there. The drinks were mega cheap which was awesome for our bank accounts but not too good for our livers…
While in Magaluf we also spent an evening watching what can only be described as one of the best things I’ve ever seen; Pirates Reloaded.
It wasn’t the cheapest excursion in the world but it was 110% worth it. I’ve honestly never seen anything so amazing in my life and I really couldn’t recommend the show enough!
Mallorca really is a great choice of destination for your next summer holiday and it’s literally never too early to book it!

Majorca sounds like an absolute amazing place to visit, with similarities to Tenerife. I love the sound of the Aqualand waterpark as waterparks are amazing but I’ve only been to the one in Tenerife I think. I think a large one should be built in the UK as if would be so much fun, I need to visit the Alton Towers one too. Xx

Oh, isn’t Majorca just beautiful?! This year, I visited Magaluf twice (and I’m surprisingly still alive) and am looking to book again for next July already. Apart from the nightlife, Magaluf is actually really gorgeous in the day time and I agree that the beaches are just divine! Pirates reloaded is so brilliant I would love to go and watch that again, it was such a good few hours!
