The colder months can prove to be pretty detrimental to the condition of your hair so it’s more important than ever to ensure that you look after it as much as possible.
My hair always tends to be in a pretty bad condition because I had ombre put into it earlier this year so it’s pretty wrecked due to the number of chemicals that were put on it. I’m also notoriously bad for just being incredibly lazy with my hair and I always tend to do the bare minimum with it. Having said that, in the last few weeks there’s been a number of products that I’ve been using religiously to try and help my hair look much healthier.
This spray from VO5 not only smells uh-mazing but it also leaves my hair looking incredibly lush and ‘put-together’. I love the super soft, shiny finish that this gives my hair and it’s the perfect finishing spray to use if you’re heading out for a night on the town as it gives a beautiful shine without looking greasy.
The hair mask that I actually have has now been discontinued I believe, but I’ve linked a very similar one above. I use this mask as part of my Sunday pamper routine as it’s perfect for leaving on for a good 15 minutes while you’re relaxing in the bath. I love the smell of it and I absolutely love how soft it makes my hair feel. It’s incredibly silky and it leaves my hair feeling super soft. It’s a definite must-have if you’re prone to having super dry and lacklustre hair as it will inject so much moisture into your locks.
Yet another product from Umberto Giannini, this hot styler spray is the perfect addition to my haircare routine. It’s the ideal product to use on wet hair before you blow dry it as it helps to protect against heat damage and it also acts like a hairspray so your hair remains in perfect condition. It lasts absolutely ages so it’s a great product to invest in if you tend to use a lot of styling products on your hair.
I have to admit – I’m not actually the biggest fan of dry shampoo as I’m just not too keen on how it feels in my hair. But on days where my hair is looking a bit worse for wear, (read: I haven’t washed it in three days) this dry shampoo from Asda is perfect. It smells fresh and clean and it’s great for using on your roots to try and combat the grease. Matt’s also a huge fan of this dry shampoo so it’s definitely one for the boys too…
This product is actually my favourite one out of my whole collection simply because it’s just so amazing. It smells incredibly heavenly and it works amazingly at protecting hair against heat damage, particularly when accompanied with my ghd straighteners. I love the sleek look of the bottle and I think it looks great taking pride of place on my haircare shelf.
Umberto Giannini Overnight Beauty Moisture Balm
It’s clear to see just how much I love haircare products from Umberto Giannini, and this one is no exception. I think this particular one has actually been discontinued but it’s relatively similar to the hair mask above. This moisture balm acts as a sort of overnight mask and it’s incredibly good at making sure my hair remains as soft as possible. It smells awesome and it’s great for applying to hair that’s looking a little worse for wear and is in serious need of some TLC.
It wasn’t until fairly recently that I realised that coconut oil has an abundant of incredible uses. It’s great for your health, tastes delicious when added to your favourite recipes and it’s the ideal product to use for caring for your hair. Matt actually introduced me to the benefits of coconut oil and after trying it out for myself, I have to say I’m incredibly impressed. Although it feels remarkably oily and greasy at first, once you’ve thoroughly washed it out, it leaves your hair feeling silky smooth and makes it look truly amazing. It’s such a fabulous product to have in your bathroom cabinet!
