For as long as I can remember, my mum has instilled the idea of making memories into our family and it’s something that we’ve all been doing for years now. It’s a concept that I’ve come to adore, and with my own fascination of creating ‘moments’ (as influenced by The Perks of Being a Wallflower), I love thinking of creative ways that I can preserve my memories forever.
Printiki are a photo printing service that allow you to choose from a range of different styles and sizes to print your photos off so that you can keep those precious memories forever. I absolutely loved using this service; it was so easy to navigate around the website (the only difficult part was choosing which images I wanted to print off!). I love how personal Printiki is and the fact that you can choose to add little captions to your photos is incredibly cute and makes everything that bit more memorable – especially if you’re prone to forgetting things like dates and places!
I decided to print some of my favourite pictures from the last year or so and decorate our room with them because so far I mainly just have pictures of Matt and myself around our bedroom! I’ve got some fantastic travel images, some gorgeous ones of Matt and plenty of family-orientated pictures.
The picture on the far left of Matt is from our first ever “official” date at The Alchemist in Leeds so that one will always be incredibly special to me, as will the black and white picture of us two as that’s the first pic we ever got together.
There’s plenty of pictures from my multiple visits to New York as it’s my favourite place in the world and the memories that I made there are ones that I want to remember forever. The picture of my Mum and I in front of the Statue of Liberty is one that I absolutely adore because I remember how happy we were to finally see the iconic landmark!
My time in Washington D.C with my two aunties is also something that makes me incredibly happy to look back on so I wanted to print a picture of that so I could keep a hard copy close by.
I love the picture of my little cousin and I because we look so incredibly excited to be at a One Direction concert in Baltimore, Maryland! I also adore the picture of my little brother and I (with the sunglasses on) as it was Halloween and he dressed up in the most bizarre outfit!
Of course there’s yet more pictures from my trips to New York but there’s also pictures of Matt and I with his mum and stepdad from when we went to Venice which was one of the best places I’ve ever been to!
I also absolutely adore the picture of my sister and I giggling because it brings back so many happy memories for me and I’m so glad we captured the moment on camera.
The picture of my dad and I is also incredibly special to me because my dad doesn’t like getting his picture taken very often so I particularly love this one from Christmas a few years ago!
And of course, there’s one of our gorgeous little kitten, Poppy. She’s so adorable and I’m so glad she’s in our lives. She’s also unbearably photogenic (definitely more so than me!).
Each and every one of these pictures means the absolute world to me and I’m so grateful that I got the chance to print them off because now I can be reminded every single day of all the wonderful memories that I’ve created in the past year or so!
The top picture of my mum and dad makes me so happy even though I wasn’t actually there at the time because it always makes me laugh. They were on holiday in the Lake District and my mum was sending me pictures of my dad trying to drive a boat and so it always warms my heart to see how happy they are together. They truly are #couplegoals.
I love the picture of me and Em because it will always remind me of the first time we ever met at the Bloggers Blog Awards. I’ve been speaking to Em for ages now but when I finally got the chance to meet her; it was truly something that I never want to forget.
I love how two of those pictures include me either eating or drinking! The one with my gran is from when we were in America last year visiting family and we decided to indulge in some red velvet cake while at Barnes and Noble! The picture of my mum and I (drinking vodka, obvs) is from last year when we went to New York for my 18th birthday and that really is a trip I never want to forget!
Possibly my favourite picture on there is the one of Matt and I kissing with the Statue of Liberty in the background because it’s from our first ever holiday together in New York and I love how it looks like Lady Liberty is just there cheering us on!
The picture of a canal in Venice is one of my fave travel pics because it just looked so beautiful and I literally had the best time cruising around the canals on a gondola!
The picture of me with my mum, brother, sister and Matt also fills me with happiness as it was taken when we all went ice skating together last Christmas. It was a truly amazing time and it was the first time I’d ever been ice skating with Matt so that was a great “first” for us to capture on camera.
Another picture that makes me incredibly happy is the one of me, Abbey and Debra as this was taken the first time I ever met these gorgeous ladies and it was such a fantastic day; I never want to forget it!
The pic of Matt and I dressed up as Scooby Doo characters will always make me laugh as we looked so ridiculous but it was such an incredible evening!
As I’m sat writing this post, I suddenly feel quite overwhelmed with how lucky I am to have all these incredible people in my life and I’m so glad that I printed these pictures off so that I can properly cherish the memories that we’ve created together!
