Last year I wrote a post for my dad for Father’s Day as a kind of ‘present’ to him as I always really struggle with buying him gifts.
Whether it’s for Christmas, his birthday or Father’s Day, I never know what to buy him. My parents are notorious for buying me the most amazing gifts for every ocassion for myself and my siblings and I always feel so bad that I can never properly return the favour.
My dad is incredibly important to me so I always try my best to get him the most thoughtful gifts I possibly can; here’s why I struggle to get my dad what he deserves for Father’s Day and what I end up buying instead.
Last week I was very kindly invited to my all-time favourite restaurant to try out their new menu. I’ve been obsessed with Cosy Club ever since my friend introduced me to it last October and it’s been my favourite place to eat ever since.
So when I was invited back to try out the new menu at Cosy Club it only felt right that I should take the person who introduced me to it all those months ago.
Here’s what Katie and I ate when we tried out the new menu last week!
I’ve been shopping at Monks Cross ever since I first moved to York almost 12 years ago. It’s the place that I always went with my grandma to do my Christmas shopping and it’s the place where I got my first ever ‘proper’ job at Starbucks. Monks Cross has been a huge part of my York life for many years now so I was so excited when they reached out to me to collaborate.
Last weekend, I headed up to my favourite shopping outlet in York for a day of retail therapy, an Instagram takeover on the Monks Cross Instagram account and to purchase some fab new items for our new home.
Monks Cross very kindly invited me to their shopping park with a challenge to spend £100 in their various stores including Primark, Boots and Debenhams. It was an extremely busy but productive day with my mum, who helped me to film everything and choose my favourite items. Here’s what I picked up on my shopping trip with Monks Cross.
My favourite type of movie is without a doubt one that belongs in the Rom-Com genre, so when I was invited down to London to check out Brit Movie Tours’ Rom-Com London tour, I was more than thrilled!
Films such as Love Actually, Notting Hill and Bridget Jones are some of my favourite ever films so when I discovered that Brit Movie Tours offered a tour all about the various locations where some of my fave films were shot, I couldn’t wait to see it for myself!
I took my mum with me as she’s also a huge fan of Rom-Coms, so we stayed in a hotel in Kensington the night before and on Saturday we made our way to the tour. Here’s what we got up to on the Love Actually & Rom-Com London tour.
I’ve spoken quite a lot about my love for date night on my blog before and how much I love to spend some quality time with Matt. It always makes me so happy to be able to enjoy a good few hours delighting in each other’s company, talking about everything and anything.
However, I also firmly believe that in order to enjoy ‘date night’, you don’t necessarily have to spend it with your partner. I class ‘date night’ as time spent by myself watching Friends and drinking a delicious hot chocolate, catching up with friends who I haven’t seen in a long time or spending time with my amazing mum in a stunning London hotel…
Here’s why date night doesn’t just have to be with your partner, and what myself and my mum got up to on our ‘date night’ last week!
