As a blogger, there’s a thousand and one things we need to remember to do at any given time. Add in a full time job, social commitments, family time, general self-care and hobbies, it can become fairly easy to get overwhelmed by everything. Thankfully, there’s a number of apps that I like to use to help keep me organised with blogging, so if all else fails, I’ll at least know these apps are there to save me when a blogging disaster strikes. Oh, and they’re also all free to download.
Way back in spring I wrote a post about the ways that you can bring Hygge into your life and as it’s a concept that I love, I thought I’d put together an autumn edition.
Hygge is a Danish word that is used to describe a feeling or a moment that can be experienced alone or with others that leaves you feeling content, cosy and warm. For me, autumn is the perfect time to practice the art of feeling cosy, warm and content, so I’ve put together a list of the things that you can do to bring Hygge into your life this autumn.
Last Saturday I made the 20 minute train journey to Leeds to meet some of my all-time favourite blogging gals for an afternoon of chatting, drinking and celebrating the industry’s most amazing bloggers. After attending the #BloggersBall event a few months ago, I kind of thought I knew what to expect, but the Bloggers Blog Awards completely exceeded my expectations; basically it was f***ing immense!
I met Em at Leeds station and I honestly nearly cried when I saw her – we’ve been speaking every single day since February but this was the first time we’d ever met and it’s safe to say I was more than a little emotional. We jumped in an Uber and headed to Pizza Hut close to where the event was being held to meet Debra, Sian and Kimberly.
I am so unbelievably happy that autumn is officially here; it’s my absolute favourite season and I literally “come alive” during the colder months.
Autumn is when I feel the most happy and the most productive and after an incredible summer, I already know that this is going to be the best autumn yet! Today’s post is all about my autumn bucket list and everything that I’m hoping to do in the next few months; picture cosy nights in front of the fire, copious amounts of hot chocolate and every TV series and film imaginable!
I’m gonna be honest here, I’m actually one of those weirdos who actually enjoys cleaning their makeup brushes… However, I can acknowledge that it is a huge chore for the majority of people and that’s where the fab little invention from Beauty Essentials comes in.
The Shadow Switch is a dry makeup brush cleansing tool and basically it’s bomb AF. Housed in a sturdy, practical and lightweight tin, the Shadow Switch allows you to alternate between shades without having to actually clean your makeup brush!
