Urban Decay has been one of my absolute favourite makeup brands for so many years now; their eyeshadow palettes are second to none and I use at least one of them every single day.
But with so many incredible eyeshadow palettes on the market nowadays, how do you know which ones truly are the best?
I’ve compiled a list of my ultimate favourites from Urban Decay, and without being too much of an enabler, I definitely think you should have at least one of these palettes in your collection…
I’m gonna start with the first UD palette I ever bought – the Naked 3. As this palette has been in my collection the longest, it certainly holds a very special place in my collection. The pinky tones are right up my street and I love how wearable each and every shade is. Dust, Buzz and Liar are my favourite shades in this palette and they’re perfect for wearing all together or just individually. The high pigments of all the shades mean that they’re extremely long-lasting and can be worn from morning ’till night. I usually opt for this palette if I’m looking for a more subtle look, as the shades are a lot less intense than most of my other palettes.
The OG Naked palette was the second one I added to my collection and a love affair was born instantly. This palette is actually home to my favourite eyeshadow shade ever – half baked – as well as a whole host of other delectable shades. Home to a vast range of gold shimmery shades, the original Naked palette is one that you absolutely need in your makeup collection. It’s perfect for wearing regardless of the time of day, and the shades can all be worn no matter the occasion. I absolutely adore all the shades in this palette; and it’s certainly one that I’d repurchase when I run out of my favourite colours.
I picked up the Smoky palette almost three years ago when I went on a mad splurging session in America, and I haven’t looked back since. As soon as I saw this palette I knew I wanted to add it to my collection but I knew I’d have to get a little braver with my makeup looks due to the shades all being designed to create a smoky eye look. I can safely say that I’ve become much more adventurous since purchasing this palette and it’s one that I can’t imagine not being in my collection now. The heavily pigmented shades are easily wearable and perfectly blendable. I tend to opt for this palette when I’m going on a night out as it’s a little too intense for a ‘day at the office’ look. The combination of shimmer and matte shades make for the perfect palette as there really is something for everyone.
The highly anticipated release of the UD Naked Heat palette was a huge talking point last summer for the beauty industry and with all the hype surrounding its release, I knew I had to get on board. This palette was definitely my most-used last year and I am beyond obsessed with all the shades and their pigmentation. I truly believe that this palette can be used at anytime of the year as it’s so incredibly versatile, the shades are absolutely stunning and I’m so glad that I picked it up.
This palette is the latest addition to my UD collection and I think that it’s my favourite palette yet. I was lucky enough to receive this for Christmas from my parents and I’m so unbelievably glad that I did; it’s stunning. Every single shade is breathtaking and shimmery, they’re all so heavily pigmented and I genuinely adore every shade. There’s such a vast range of colours and they’re all so wearable; it’s the perfect palette for parties and special occasions. I really can’t choose my favourite shades either as I’m loving every single one of them so far and I can’t wait to create even more looks with them!
