During the colder months, my skin tends to be lacking in moisture and generally just looks pretty bland at this time of year.
In the last few months however, there have been a number of products that I’ve invested in to help with my lacklustre skin and overall, my face seems to have its glow back. Here are the 11 products that I’ve been using to look after my skin as we transition into the colder months:
I’ve been a huge fan of this cleanser for a number of years now as it’s honestly the best one I’ve ever tried. It removes every last trace of makeup and leaves my skin feeling thoroughly clean and replenished. It’s perfect for this time of year as it’s not drying at all, and instead it injects plenty of moisture into my skin while removing all of my makeup. I really couldn’t recommend this cleanser enough.
I’ve talked about my love for this product before on my blog and even though it’s probably a product that’s more suitable for the summer months, my feet still get dry in the autumn and winter so really it’s perfect for all year round! I love the quirky blue colour of this foot cream and I adore how soft this leaves my feet!
I’ve mentioned this moisturiser in an Origins post before but I just had to mention it again because I am SO in love with it. I’ve used No7 moisturisers for so many years and I really didn’t think I’d ever sway from it but the Zero Oil Moisturiser from Origins has captured my heart. It’s perfect for this time of year as it’s incredibly hydrating while stopping my skin from looking too oily.
Another moisturiser I love is the Benefit Total Moisturiser as it’s the essential face cream for the colder months. I tend to use this on an evening as it’s quite a heavy moisturiser but it’s perfect at injecting plenty of hydration into my lacklustre skin. It also smells absolutely divine.
This handcream is absolutely perfect for the colder months as it’s incredibly nourishing and hydrating. I love how quickly it sinks into my hands, leaving them feeling ever so soft. While I love the almond scents in this handcream, I do find that the honey notes can be pretty strong sometimes but I’m willing to look past that in order to achieve super soft hands.
I actually use this moisturiser pretty much all year round but I especially love it during the colder months because of how hydrating it is. It sinks into my skin quickly, leaving behind a gorgeous cocoa scent and immensely soft skin. It must be a fab moisturiser because I always find Matt using it too…
I’ve actually mentioned this body butter in a blog post before and even though I’d associate it more with the summer months, I still love it during autumn and winter for helping to keep lacklustre skin at bay. It smells absolutely heavenly and it’s the perfect product to use when you feel like having a particularly indulgent pamper evening.
It’s clear to see how much I love the products from this range from The Body Shop and that’s simply because they’re so soothing on dry skin. This shower cream is the ideal companion in the shower when your skin is feeling particularly dry and is in need of some serious TLC.
I’ve actually just ran out of this moisturiser because I’ve used it every single day for the last few months. I’ve been a huge fan of the No7 moisturisers for the longest time but I was recently converted to this little beauty and I don’t think I’ll look back. I love how this provided my skin with moisture and gave it a luscious look; I’ll definitely be repurchasing it at some point soon.
This product is another one that I like to save for special pamper nights as it feels incredibly luxurious. It smells absolutely wonderful and I love how creamy the formula is; it leaves no residue behind but it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth.
I only tend to use this serum when my skin is feeling particularly lacklustre as it’s quite heavy and provides a whole lot of moisture. It’s the perfect product to use if you’re suffering from a dry patch of skin on your face and it smells as delicious at the facial cream; it’s an absolute dream to use.
