My Current Lifestyle Favourites

lifestyle

Autumn is definitely the time that I seem to “come alive” and so I always find myself feeling much happier than usual in these colder months. There’s also so many things that I’ve been loving recently and I thought I’d share all my favourite things of the last few months in today’s post.

There’s a mixture of beauty products, homeware additions and of course plenty of food items!

Candles

I’m obsessed with candles all year round anyway but there’s just something about the autumn months that makes them even more appealing. My favourites so far this year have been cinnamon and spicy scents from Yankee Candle. I think it would be fairly accurate to say that I’ve got a slight obsession with Yankee Candle and I’m lucky enough that Matt’s mum is completely obsessed too so she always buy an insane amount for us to put around the house. The whole house has been smelling well and truly like autumn for the last few weeks and I literally could not be happier.

My onesie

During the colder months you’ll find me in my onesie approximately 99% of the time. I’ve had this adorable one from Sainsbury’s for about two years now and it’s literally one of my favourite things that I own. It’s unbelievably cosy and snuggly and I absolutely adore wearing it around the house when the weather turns cold. I’ve scared Matt’s parents wearing this on more than one occassion though as it does quite a good job of resembling a polar bear but it’s incredibly cosy nonetheless.

Skincare faves

There’s been quite a few products that I’ve been loving recently but the ones featured above have stood out to me the most in the last few weeks. After picking it up at an event at The Body Shop a few months ago, I’ve been absolutely loving the Thai Makrut Lime Firming Oil. It smells utterly divine and is the perfect product to use to get rid of stretch marks. It tones and firms the area that you put it on and it leaves my skin feeling ever so soft.

Another product that I’ve been obsessed with recently is the Origins GinZing Eye Cream. I used to have this product a number of years ago but I totally forgot about it once I ran out. I recently picked up another pot of it when I was at an event with Em Sheldon and I’m so very glad that I did because it’s the most amazing eye cream. It depuffs and brightens the whole eye area, leaving a subtle glow behind. If you suffer from really bad dark circles like me then I’d thoroughly recommend investing in this little pot of magic.

For a long time now, I’ve been loving my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish and I don’t think my adoration for it is going to dwindle anytime soon. I’ve tried a vast number of cleansers over the years and this one is by far my favourite. I love the smell of it and I love the way it completely removes all traces of my makeup, leaving my skin feel soft and nourished.

Organii products*

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to receive a number of products from Organii*, and I’ve been using them everyday since. The Organii Liquid Soap* is the stuff of dreams; it smells absolutely divine and it leaves my hands feeling squeaky clean! I put it in the upstairs bathroom and it seems like the whole house has been loving it because everyone smells so fresh! I received the citrus scent and I can’t begin to tell you how much I love the smell of it; it’s so clean, refreshing and yummy!

I also received the Shea Butter Shower Gel* and while it still smells lovely, I do actually prefer the citrus scent. This lathers up nicely in the shower and leaves my entire body feeling super clean and moisturised.

The incredible thing about Organii products is that they’re vegan, organic, natural AND cruelty-free, so if that’s not enough to convince you that they’re incredible, then the delicious scents certainly will!

All the chocolate

Autumn is the perfect time to crack out ALL of the chocolate (including all the best Christmas chocolate) and I’ve recently picked up a few favourites to enjoy on an evening in front of Gilmore Girls. Orange flavoured chocolate is literally my favourite thing in the world so the Quality Street Zingy Orange Matchmakers are a definite must-have for me at this time of year. They remind me so much of Christmas time and when they were on offer the other week, I just couldn’t resist.

To accompany these I’ve been indulging in orange flavour hot chocolate from Whittard that Matt bought me for my birthday earlier this year. I can’t even describe how amazing this is because it’s literally heaven in a mug. It’s the perfect drink to enjoy on a cold autumn evening while tucked up in bed watching your favourite film. (BRB, just off to make a huge mug of this…).

Another slice of heaven that I’ve been loving recenty is the M & M’s Double Chocolate Cookies. These are great paired with a steaming hot cup of tea and I’ve been tucking into one (or four) on an evening while I’m getting through blog work.

Some other things I’ve been loving recently include:

  • Garlic bread (although, what’s new there?)
  • Long, hot baths
  • Wearing my cosy jumpers
  • Listening to old music
  • Watching new films at the cinema
  • Getting ready for Halloween
  • Wearing my winter coat for this first time this autumn
