A Lush Halloween Haul: My Top Picks

lush halloween

I’ve been eagerly waiting for the Lush Halloween products to come out ever since the start of September and when I popped into my nearest store a few weeks ago and saw that they weren’t released yet, I was bitterly disappointed.

However, that didn’t stop me on my quest to purchase some of the most highly anticipated autumnal products and so I “accidentally stumbled’ on to the Lush website on my lunch break and treated myself to a plethora of seasonal goodies. Today’s post is all about the Lush Halloween products that I highly recommend investing in…

Ectoplasm

I was very excited to try out this product as I’ve never used a jelly bomb before, and it’s safe to say that I wasn’t disappointed. The smell reminds me of sherbet lemons (which is always a good thing) and I just love how refreshing it is. I’ve found that it takes a little while longer than most bath bombs to dissolve but as it’s a jelly bomb, I suppose it kind of makes sense. The purple and almost lime-green colours make the bath water look like some kind of alien invasion but it left my skin feeling thoroughly soft and silky. It was extremely weird to touch the water at first as it was so jelly-like (duh) but after a while the jelly dissolves and you’re left with water that makes your skin feel heavenly.

Sparkly Pumpkin

This bamb bomb is always a highly anticipated release when it comes to this time of year but it’s actually the first time I’ve ever purchased it! I’m the worst at describing scents but this one kind of reminds me of cola cubes and I love how glittery and sparkly it is (although, it was pretty tough to clean up after taking blog photos). I have to admit – it’s much smaller than I expected but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s any less impressive. This bubble bar dissolves in the bath, creating a light smattering of bubbles accompanied by a sparkly orange tint; basically, it’s bloody divine.

Monsters’ Ball

I just had to add Monsters’ Ball to my haul purely for the fact that it reminds me of Mike Wazowski. Even though it’s probably my least favourite scent from the collection, I love how it turns the bath water a gorgeous pink colour which is lovely to just sink into. It leaves me feeling very relaxed and I feel like I’m a princess indulging in a long, hot, pink-tinted bath.

Bewitched

Since becoming much more of a cat person, I was very excited to try this intriguing bubble bar.  Its blackberry scent reminds me of a delicious, refreshing cider and I love how cute it is! I almost didn’t want to put this in my bath but when I did, I wasn’t disappointed; the water turned a mystical shade of black accompanied by little flecks of glitter that leave you looking very magical. The midnight sky charm of this bubble bar is perfect for a luxurious pamper evening just before bed as it thoroughly relaxes me.

Pink Pumpkin

This girly spin on ‘Sparkly Pumpkin’ will leave your bath a gorgeous pink colour with swirls of glitter for you to enjoy. It creates a lovely layer of bubbles which fill the bathroom with delicious scents of jasmine – this is definitely one of my favourite purchases. The floral scents seem a little unusual for this time of year but they’re perfect for creating a calming and uplifting atmosphere.

Pumpkin

This is a Lush Halloween classic and I think it might actually be my favourite pick from the whole collection. It has a gorgeous orangey scent combined with hints of spice and vanilla; it’s basically autumn in a bath bomb. It doesn’t leave the bathtub looking the nicest shade of orange but that can be forgiven when you’re surrounded by heavenly scents in a tranquil atmosphere.

  1. I used to love Lush so much but I just haven’t had the time to use their products anymore, sob! Sparkly Pumpkin is a fav of one though, so it’s good to see it’s made a return. The cat one looks so cute!

  2. I was scrolling through Pinterest about 10 minutes ago and saw all these lovely Lush photos and just realised that they’re yours from this post! I don’t shop at Lush (I never buy myself or treat myself to anything so that’s probably why!) but I love the look of Monster Ball – he’s cute. And the pumpkin I wouldn’t want to use! xxx

  3. One of the very few LUSH products that I’ve actually tried was the Monsters Ball bath bomb last year and I really loved it! It was almost too cute to put in the bath though, I loved it! I really wanna try the sparkly pumpkin this year just for the glitter hehe!

  4. I absolutely love everything you have picked up so much, I’ve been so tempted but have been trying so hard to resist, but I may have to give in to one. I love the sound of the Monster’s Ball, and I love the jelly bombs too. I find them soo moisturising on your skin. xx

  5. OMG, how cute is monsters ball? I think I need to head to my local lush like, right now to get one. Amazing post Chloe, I’m so happy I’ve read this because I can now go into store knowing exactly what I want without getting distracted or overwhelmed lol. Thats my problem with that shop, I either come out with 100 things or nothing!

  6. I definitely need to pick up bewitched! Anything to do with cats and I have to have it haha! I love the idea of it turning the water black x
