Summer Date Daytime Activities

summer date daytime activities

Going on dates with Matt is one of my favourite things to do. Whether it’s something lavish and expensive like going on holiday, or simply just having a cosy night in together, spending time with my favourite person is one of life’s greatest pleasures.

In today’s post, I thought I’d share some ideas that you and your bae could indulge in on a lovely summer’s day. However, with the British weather being *quite* unpredictable, I’ve split this list into two categories, so you have the option of both indoor and outdoor activities.

Indoor

  1. Spend the day playing board games.
  2. Build a fort and make lots of yummy snacks, and enjoy spending some precious time with your SO.
  3. Watch your favourite movies or TV shows.
  4. Make some summer snacks together- think fruity cocktails, summery salads and yummy fruit bowls.
  5. Make a scrapbook full of summer memories.
  6. You could have an indoor picnic.
  7. Try out a Pinterest DIY together.
  8. Make homemade ice lollies.
  9. Have a day pampering each other with face masks while watching a cheesy film.
  10. Spend a rainy day in bed eating ice cream and cookies.
  11. You could go bowling or go to the cinema to watch the latest movie.
  12. Make some delicious pizzas.
  13. Play old video games together.

Outdoor

  1. Spend an afternoon in a beer garden – you could even get a group of friends together!
  2. Go to a theme park.
  3. Have a water balloon fight.
  4. Spend a leisurely afternoon in a park having a picnic.
  5. Go to an outdoor cinema with bae and watch a romantic film.
  6. Play card games in the garden drinking cider.
  7. Spend a day at the beach eating ice cream and playing in the arcades.
  8. Go on a road trip together.
  9. Watch the sunset on a hill while drinking prosecco.
  10. Go camping and spend the evening watching the stars.
  11. Enjoy a bike ride together.
  12. Go on a long walk and spend time getting lost in the woods.
  13. Pull an all-nighter and watch the sunrise.

What are your favourite activities to do with bae? Let me know in the comments or on Twitter @imjustagirl_16.

  2. Omg, for my fiance’s birthday I made a DIY date picker. So every time we have a day off together we blind pick a date acitivty. Last one was a trip to Fort Willaim. I will have to add a few of these to the game!

  3. An all nighter and then watching the sunset seems like the perfect outdoor date! It’s definitely my favorite date idea, but literally all of these sound like they’d be so cool to do. I’ll definitely be referring back to this list for date ideas when I get a boyfriend lol. Pinned!<3

  4. I think it’s wonderful to hear that you and Matt enjoy whatever you do together, and that it doesn’t have to be a big fancy or expensive date for you guys to have a great time! Playing cards is something I love to do, and a water fight sounds like such fun!

  5. I really appreciate this post because when it comes to it I get really lost on ideas of what we can do other than our usual routine of things so I’m 100% going to favourite this post on my safari and come back to it during our free days! Lots of love xxx

    1. Thanks gorgeous girl! It’s nice to have a list of ideas, especially if the weather isn’t playing ball! Xxx

  6. These are great, I’m going to bookmark this as my boyf and I are saving money after holiday so need lots of low-key ideas of things to do on our days off without breaking the bank x

  7. A movie/TV marathon has always been one of our favourite activities to do together. We’ve spent many hours on the sofa, binge-watching Netflix. It can be hard to find nice things to do with your partner without spending a fortune, but you have a great set of suggestions here.
