I hope you all enjoyed reading my AtoZ Challenge throughout April, it’ll be weird not to be blogging everyday but I really loved it so I may just have to commit to more days a week, watch this space…
Anyway, on with today’s post. It feels so strange to be nominated for a blogger award… It feels strange that people read my blog full stop, but nevertheless the lovely Emma nominated for The Liebster Award and I’m just sorry that it took me so long to write! You can also follow Emma on Twitter here, because she’s one of the loveliest people ever!

It’s the last day of the AtoZ Challenge! I’ve managed to blog every single day in April and I’m honestly so proud of myself! It wasn’t easy putting together a post everyday but I have thoroughly enjoyed doing it.
Anyway, the final post of the AtoZ Challenge is all about my Zoeva Vegan Face Set makeup brushes. I got them for Christmas last year and I’ve used them everyday since. I’ve used the rose gold set before but they had got a bit old so these new ones came at the perfect time.

The grammar police in me is very aware that the title of this post doesn’t make an awful lot of sense but I was determined to keep the AtoZ theme throughout the whole month!
I digress, today’s post (as you can see from the poorly composed title) is all about the things that I want to have achieved in a year’s time. It’ll be sort of like writing my New Year’s Resolutions now but it’ll be from April to April instead of January to January…
This time next year I’ll be 20! I WILL BE IN MY TWENTIES! My mum has already had a number of mini freakouts about this fact as she can’t quite believe that she’ll have a daughter in her twenties. So, seeing as I’ll be a fully-fledged adult by this time next year, I thought I’d put together a list of things that I want to achieve by then, or at least be on my way to achieving…

I first started blogging all the way back in 2013 when I first started watching YouTube and reading the likes of Zoella and Tanya Burr’s blogs. However, that blog has long since been deleted as I put very little time and effort into it, and at 15 years old I actually had very little to talk about except for GSCEs and house parties…
Since then, I’d like to think both my writing and photography skills have developed somewhat and the vast amount of blogging resources has enabled me to become so much better. Since getting my job in digital marketing, I’ve also learned a thing or two about the way that things like SEO work and hopefully I’ll be able to make my little blog something I can be proud of.

It’s safe to say that I’m not into shopping at all. I love the idea of clothes and looking stylish but the thought of going to town and spending all day trying on clothes and then spending all my money on new items just does not appeal to me. However, this spring may have just changed my mind on that as I’ve been browsing online for some new dresses and I’ve stumbled across some items that I *think* I might have fallen in love with. I’ve never really been a girly-girl with my style but the last sort of six months or so I’ve adopted a new found love for dresses and skirts. I’ve put together a little wishlist of things that I’m keen to get my hands on this spring, and yes, there is a LOT of pink…
From left to right:
- Cheap Monday Superskinny Short Dunagrees – ASOS
- Pink Suedette Strappy Pointed Heels – New Look
- Red V Neck Wrap Front Playsuit – New Look
- Petite Pink Leather-Look Biker Jacket – New Look
- Pink Leather-Look Mini Skirt – New Look
- MOTO Indigo Super Rip Joni Jeans – Topshop
- Lilac Floral A-Line Skirt – Miss Selfridge
- Petite Bow Shoulder Dress – Miss Selfridge
- Petite Printed Jersey Jumpsuit – Miss Selfridge
What clothes are you currently lusting after? Have you got as much pink in your wishlist as I have? Let me know in the comments or on Twitter @imjustagirl_16.

As some of you may know, up until very recently I worked at Starbucks as a barista. My 2017 goals post explains more in detail but basically I worked there from September 2016 to February 2017 as my full-time job whilst I figured out what exactly I wanted to do with my life. When I started my new job in February, I went down to an eight hour contract where I just worked at Starbucks at the weekend, but after only two months I decided that it was a bit too much to have two jobs, working 48 hours, six days a week.
Anyway, at my time at Starbucks, I learned a few things and I wanted to share a few of them to help you help your local barista out. You know, because it can actually be a stressful job sometimes and some customers are just absolutely not the one…

Soap and Glory is one of my favourite skincare brands. For so many years now, I’ve been receiving gift sets for my birthday and Christmas and I’m never disappointed with the things that I receive. Today I’ve put together a post on some of my favourite minis from Soap and Glory as these are usually the ones that I tend to get for Christmas.

Sophie Kinsella has always been my favourite author. Pretty much ever since I could read, I’ve loved her books and I’ve even read some of them multiple times. The Shopaholic series will always hold a special place in my bookshelf as they’re the first series I ever remember reading and absolutely falling in love with (I think I’ve read all the books in the series four times!). She writes in such a way that I just completely immerse myself in the story and they’re always such an enjoyable read.
Her newest book, ‘My Not So Perfect Life’ is no exception. I finished the book within a couple of days and it’s just brilliant; it’s essentially a book of “what ifs?” and I absolutely loved it.
The main character ‘Katie’, or ‘Cat’ as she prefers to be called, reminded me somewhat of the protagonist, (and incidentally my favourite book character EVER) Becky Bloomwood from the Shopaholic series. Her incidents had me genuinely laughing out loud throughout the whole book and I think anyone in or around their twenties will be able to relate to her.
She’s desperate to ‘make it’ in London and puts across this persona to everyone that she really has got it together. By updating her Instagram and *slightly* lying to her friends, she portrays her life as if she’s a glamorous career girl, when in fact she’s still only at the bottom of the career ladder. Her ambition to succeed however, is genuinely inspiring and even though she really does take ‘fake it ’till you make it’ to the next level, Katie (Cat) really is a lovable character.
Have you read any of Sophie Kinsella’s books? Do you love her work as much as I do? Let me know in the comments or on Twitter @imjustagirl_16.
